If you spend a lot of time in your car traveling. The Weber go anywhere grill is a must-have.
Weber Go Anywhere Grill
Who is it for?
EVERYONE: Well, this grill is for anyone that wants a good portable grill to take to the beach, the park or for tailgating at your favorite sporting event or anywhere else you might want to use a portable charcoal grill.
Is it portable?
YES: I take the Weber Go Anywhere grill with me when I’m on the road. It fits perfectly in the trunk of my car. Honestly, the only time I ever really take it out is to give it a thorough cleaning. I keep it in the trunk with my fishing poles because I never know when I’m going to get the urge to hit the lake.
The legs fold over the lid to keep it in place and the handles make it easy to carry. It’s a little heavy at 14lbs. So I wouldn’t recommend taking it on a five-mile hike but it’s easy to carry short distances. This is truly the perfect ride along companion.
How many people can I cook for?
With 160 square inches of cooking space, there is enough room to grill for at least 2-3 adults maybe even more. I only use this grill for myself at the lake or my fiance and me at the park or the beach. But if you want to entertain a few friends I don’t think there will be any problem. There is plenty of room for direct or indirect grilling. So if you like to grill low and slow Go For It.
Will it last?
YES: In my opinion, this grill will last for many years. It is made of porcelain-coated cast iron this will help to prevent rusting. The cooking grate and the legs are plated steel. It handles the heat of charcoal grilling very well. The lid has a handle that is glass reinforced nylon that stays cool. But in my experience, I noticed that it does get a little warm.
What Are the pros and cons?
Pros
- Portable
- Lots of cooking surface
- Durable
- Vents for airflow
Cons
- A little heavy
- Lid handle gets hot
Would I recommend this Grill?
Absolutely. I have had other portable charcoal grills that can’t come close to the value of this little beast. It’s very portable, it’ll last a long time and it’s fairly priced at less than $50.00. In my opinion, if you travel, camp, fish or just like chillin at the park, beach or by the pool, you can’t go wrong with this grill.

I have been looking for a really nice portable grill with a lot of space on top to grill. Thanks for the review because I think I have found what I have been searching for! I have some great family summer plans so I think this is the best solution, thanks again.
No problem Jack. Glad I could help.
Wow this thing looks great, it would be perfect for camping. I remember when I had to go on school trips and camp overnight, we had these little frying pan things that you had to build up yourself and half the time they didn’t even work. This would’ve been perfect back then! A shame it wasn’t around.
Hi Lyle,
Yeah it’s a nice little grill even if you just use it on the deck or patio.
Thanks for the comment.

Glad Glad Glad you like it. Enjoy the grill and have a safe and happy independence day.
Very good article. I love grilling and BBQing so I can see myself using this grill while on the beach or the park. I have a few questions I am hoping you can answer.
How much does it actually weigh? you point put in your CONS that it is heavy. Do you know how heavy? Question 2, is the cooking surface adjustable?
thanks for the info…
Hi Joey,
This grill weighs 14.5 pounds. It’s an awesome grill I have one on my back porch. I use it at home when i don’t want to fire up the big kettle grill.
I’m a South African and we love BBQ’s or BRAAIS as we call them back home. Back home we usually have built in bbq’s in our homes but over here in the UK a portable is an absolute necessity. I really like the Weber and am going to look at purchasing one before the summer is out.
The good old Weber ! I’m a South African and we love to bbq. Our homes usually have build in bbq’s and friends visit each others homes when they want to bbq.
But here in the UK it’s a different story. One needs the bbq to be portable for various reasons. And they are very practical if there are just two of you.
Am going to look at getting myself one before the Summer is out. You offer a nice range.
