This grill sounds amazing. And it probably would be if there weren’t so many complaints about the quality. Some purchasers reported that the metal was flimsy and the paint would peal after the first use. While others reported that the assembly instructions were are impossible to understand and the screws are easy to strip. That’s just to name a few of the things that customers reported about this grill. However, there are a few customers that are completely satisfied with this grill.
I went to a few of my local stores to see first hand what all the fuss was about but I couldn’t locate this particular grill. I did, however, locate other grills made by Char-Broil and they all seemed to be pretty sturdy and made of quality materials. Maybe this is just a one-off. Whatever the case I don’t think I can in good conscience recommend this grill. Just because I could not find it in any of the local stores. Not the big box hardware stores or even in Walmart. If none of the big chain stores carries this grill there must be a reason.
In Conclusion
I am a fan of Char-Broil, especially their Kettleman grills. I would recommend the Char-Broil brand to most beginner backyard chefs. Because for the most part the quality of the materials the grill features and the customer service is very good. But I just can’t recommend this one particular grill. However, the choice is 100% yours and this may be the perfect grill for you.
