Make this easy recipe in just minutes on your charcoal grill. Only three ingredients for Savoury Backyard BBQ Pork Chops that the whole family will enjoy.
I don’t know about you, but I love a good pork chop. Since I was just a little kid and my grandmother would fry them up in a cast iron skillet, I have been a big fan of pork chops. So, needless to say it’s one of my favorite things to throw on the grill. Summer, Winter, Spring or Fall I’m always willing to grill a good pork chop.
The good thing about pork chops and pork steaks is that they are pretty inexpensive, especially if you can catch those early morning markdowns at the grocery store. When I find good deals I usually buy a lot and break it down into freezer bags. A couple of those family packs will usually last a few months. The meat is not always of the best quality but for those of us on a budget trying to feed a few hungry family members it’s a pretty good value. You’ll just have to add a little more T.L.C.. I do splurge every now and then and buy the more expensive Kurobuta pork chops from.snake river farms. But that is only for special occasions. (Kurobuta is to pork, what Kobe is to beef).
Most of the less expensive grocery store pork chops are pretty thin so, I like to cook them over direct medium heat for less time, usually around 10 to 15 minutes depending on the thickness. This is usually sufficient to get a good sear on the outside and cook the chop all the way through without burning it or drying it out. However, grills do vary so adjust your cooking times and temperatures accordingly.
Ok… So what you’ll need are two simple ingredients.

4 Bone-in pork chops about 8oz. Each
